Leveraging Real Estate to Reach Your Other Goals!

Lately, I been thinking about what I want to do next. Let’s say that after I finished flipping (I have 5 houses under contract right now in the Bay Area). Used that profit to purchase a 70-100 unit apartment outside of California with a strong cash flow what would I do next? What would I do when I am able to get 15-20k a month in positive net cash flow?

To me, I think that’s always been the goal of why I got into Real Estate to leverage passive income to gain my financial freedom. Now that I am close to getting my time back, I am itching for the next adventure. I am not sure if I want to take some time off to travel the world or throw myself into another endeavor.  I wonder if traveling the world would also be to reflect on my inner self and come back with a world changing idea. But if I decide to take 3-6 months off, the thought of doing nothing productive would kill me. I am not the type that could sit still and enjoy life, I programmed it into my mind for the past 4 years that I could make every single minute of my life improving myself in every single way.

Apart of me has been mauling the idea of attending all the local start up/entrepreur meet ups in San Francisco to potentially start a tech company. This idea excites me because I feel like I can used the connections, business knowledge I have and transfer them over into a start up. I feel that fundamentally that starting a company has the same starting point for all industries. C Corp, forming a team, systemizing, scaling, hiring, training, legal, fundraising etc. What if I combined this knowledge and expertise to try my luck at creating a tech start up? I could l use my passive income from my real estate investments to support my self while using the fundraised money to hire/pay my employees really well. I am not sure what my idea is at this point but I am grateful that Real Estate investing has opened my mind to the possibilities of other ventures and provided me with the mindset needed to feel like I can accomplished anything and everything.

For me this is the purpose of my real estate efforts. I enjoy it, both the work and the people, but it’s not the end all be all for what I want to accomplish in my life. I have ideas regarding natural food lines that I’d like to pursue. I want to see my products on the shelves at Whole Foods Market. But I also don’t want to live broke, which is the case for most natural foods vendors. So real estate is the vehicle that will fuel the passion. It’s one of the amazing things about this industry. If you focus on it and put in the work for a decade, it can set you up with incredible freedom from there on out.

I love it Brad, we have very similar aspirations. I always believed that Real Estate is a tool and means to get yourself into financial freedom to have a better impact on the world and other people’s lives. Life is amazing when you’re driven by goals that aren’t confined by monetary means.
